High-temperature single-core cable HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y

This brown single-core cable with FEP fluoropolymer insulation is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures and aggressive chemical environments. Made of silver-plated copper, it ensures reliability and long-term operation in harsh conditions.

Construction and application

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). Its construction – a single silver-plated copper core in FEP insulation – guarantees flexibility and ease of installation. It is ideal for installations and construction of switchgear cabinets, especially where extreme thermal conditions prevail, e.g. in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices or kitchen appliances.

The cable also finds application in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils and gasoline. Thanks to its properties, it is absolutely resistant to these substances. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium, making it safe for the environment and compatible with various production processes.

The core cross-section is 0.25 mm², and the rated voltage U0/U is 600 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 1.3 mm. The cable is characterized by an insulation resistance of at least 2 GOhm/km and a test voltage of 2500 V. The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for stationary operation and 10x cable diameter for flexible operation.
