Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x1 mm² brown, conductor: silver-plated copper 20304
Highly durable FEP cable for extreme conditions.
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in demanding environments where standard cables fail. Its construction with FEP fluoropolymer insulation ensures reliability and safety in applications exposed to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and radiation. This cable is used both in industrial installations and in the construction of switchboard cabinets.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a silver-plated copper core, which increases its corrosion resistance and reduces electrical resistance. This core is made in class 6 – flexible stranded wire, which provides flexibility and facilitates installation. Insulation with FEP (fluoropolymer) guarantees exceptional chemical resistance to alkalis, acids, oils, gasoline, and food products. In addition, this material is non-flammable and resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C).
Applications and benefits
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is ideal for applications requiring high reliability and resistance to extreme conditions:
- Chemical industry: thanks to resistance to aggressive chemical substances.
- Furnaces and heating devices: thanks to high temperature resistance.
- Switchboard cabinets: ensuring safe and long-lasting operation in difficult conditions.
- Measuring instruments: where precision and connection stability are required.
- Food industry: due to resistance to food products and no impact on their quality.
- Installations exposed to radiation: thanks to high resistance to UV radiation.
Additional advantages:
- High insulation resistance minimizes the risk of breakdown.
- Low dielectric losses improve the energy efficiency of the installation.
- Complete water resistance ensures reliable operation even in humid environments.
- Minimal water permeability protects against internal corrosion of the cables.
- Materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium, ensuring safety for the environment and human health.
The use of a silver-plated core further increases resistance to corrosion and allows operation at higher temperatures – up to +200°C for silver-plated copper cores (compared to +180°C for tinned cores). The core cross-section of 1 mm² and the rated voltage of 600V make this cable a universal solution for many electrical applications. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2 mm, which facilitates its installation in tight spaces.
