Highly durable FEP cable for extreme conditions
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. Made of tinned copper and insulated with FEP fluoropolymer, it provides reliable operation in harsh temperature and chemical conditions. The cable is particularly recommended for installation in furnaces, brickworks, heating and kitchen appliances, and in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to aggressive substances.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a flexible construction (conductor class 5) thanks to the multi-strand, flexible copper core. The FEP (fluoropolymer) insulation provides exceptional resistance to high temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). In addition, this material is resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils and gasoline. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km, guaranteeing safe use. The cable is also radiation resistant and does not promote the development of microorganisms or fungi.

The conductor cross-section of 16 mm² allows for the transmission of significant current, and the rated voltage of 600 V provides a wide range of applications. The minimum bending radius (10x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x for stationary bending) makes installation easier even in tight spaces. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting, which increases its versatility. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
