Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x16 mm² brown, conductor: tinned copper 25614
High-temperature cable for demanding applications
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is designed to operate in extreme conditions where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures – up to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C) – and aggressive chemical environments. Ideal for both industrial installations and building switchboards in places exposed to intense heat.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of tinned copper, which ensures good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The FEP (HELUFLON®) fluoropolymer insulation guarantees not only high thermal resistance but also chemical, mechanical and electrical resistance. The flexible, multi-strand Class 5 core provides flexibility and ease of installation. This cable is designed for a rated voltage of 600V.
- Exceptional temperature resistance: Continuous operation up to +205°C, short-term up to +230°C.
- Chemical resistance: No worries about the effects of alkalis, acids, oils, gasoline and food.
- High insulation: Minimal water absorption and permeability, which translates to reliable operation in a humid environment.
- Safety: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
- Flexibility: Multi-strand core makes it easy to lay and connect the cable.
- Radiation resistance: The cable retains its properties even under the influence of radiation up to 1 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
Applications
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable finds application in a wide range of industries:
- Bakery and ceramic industry: Due to its high temperature resistance, it is perfect for ovens and heating devices.
- Chemical industry: Resistance to aggressive chemicals makes it indispensable in such applications.
- Switchboard cabinets: An excellent choice for building switchboards operating in difficult thermal conditions.
- Kitchen and measuring devices: Safe and reliable cable for everyday use.
- Industrial installations: everywhere where high thermal and chemical resistance is required.
Additionally, the cable is characterized by a minimum bending radius of 4x its diameter in stationary operation and 10x in flexible operation, which makes its installation easier even in tight spaces. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7mm with a core cross-section of 16 mm².
