Universal cable for many applications
This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 0.75/AWG20, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both export installations and demanding industrial applications – especially in machine tools. Its construction and approvals allow for a wide range of uses in distribution boards and electrical equipment.
Compliance with standards and flexibility
The cable is distinguished by compliance with as many as five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (also Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Such approvals guarantee quality and safety, as well as simplifying warehouse management – one cable can meet the requirements of many markets and applications. The cable's flexibility ensures comfortable work during both installation and subsequent operation. The ability to operate in a temperature range of +5°C to +90°C (stationary up to +90°C, and in the UL AWM system even up to +105°C) makes it reliable in various environmental conditions.
Construction and parameters
The cable has a multi-strand copper conductor, class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special TI3 PVC (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H). Its outer diameter is 2.65 mm with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² (AWG 20). The dark blue-white color scheme makes it easier to identify the cores in the installation. The cable is designed for operating voltage 300/500V (up to 1 mm²) and has a test voltage of 2 kV (for diameters up to 0.5 mm²) or 6 kV (for diameters ≥ 0.75 mm²). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter of less than or equal to 8 mm it is 4x the cable diameter, above 8 mm to 12 mm – 5x the cable diameter and above that 6x the cable diameter. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. The cable is characterized by flame retardancy in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards.
