Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications
This single-core PVC cable, designated H05V2-K 1/AWG18, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both industrial installations and electrical devices. Its construction and approvals allow for economical storage and simplification of the bill of materials. The cable is characterized by a dark blue-white color of the sheath and a cross-section of 1 mm², which facilitates identification and organization of installations.
Compliance with standards and a wide spectrum of applications
The cable has been designed and manufactured in accordance with many standards, guaranteeing its safety and reliability. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (and Style 1015) as well as CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Thanks to this, it finds application in machine tools, distribution boards and other electrical devices. It has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals – which is particularly important when exporting products or working with different standards.
Construction and operating parameters
The cable consists of a stranded copper core (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special PVC type TI3 (according to DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and class 43 according to UL-Std. 1581). The operating temperature range is wide – flexible from +5°C to +90°C, stationary from -40°C to +90°C, and in the case of UL (AWM) approvals even up to +105°C and CSA (TEW) up to +105°C. The operating voltage is 300/500V (up to 1 mm²), and the test voltage is 2000V (depending on the cross-section – from 5kV for 0.5mm² to 6kV for ≥ 0.75mm²). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter and ranges from 4xØ to 6xØ of the cable. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. Additionally, the cable has an approval for flame propagation resistance according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2/UL VW-1 and CSA FT1.
