High-temperature silicone wire – flexibility and reliability in harsh conditions
This single-core silicone wire is a solution for demanding applications where standard cabling fails. It is characterized by exceptional flexibility even at extreme temperatures, making it an ideal choice for industrial and specialized applications. The wire is designed for long-term and safe operation in harsh conditions, offering resistance to a range of chemical and mechanical factors.
Construction and properties
The wire is made of copper cores that are oxygen-free annealed and tinned. This ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. Silicone insulation guarantees not only high thermal resistance but also flexibility even at low temperatures. The wire construction meets DIN VDE 0250-1 and DIN VDE 0250-502 standards, confirming its quality and safety. Additionally, the wire is halogen-free, which increases fire safety and minimizes the emission of toxic substances in the event of a fire (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2).
Flexibility: exceptional suppleness facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces.
Thermal resistance: operating temperature range from -60°C to +180°C (flexibly from -25°C to +180°C) allows for use in extreme conditions.
Chemical resistance: resistant to oils, greases, alcohols, acids, alkalis and other chemicals.
Halogen-free: increased fire safety thanks to minimal emission of toxic gases during combustion.
Rated voltage: 300/500 V – versatility of use in various electrical installations.
Core cross-section: 0.25 mm² – suitable for applications with lower current loads.
Applications
SiFF wire is widely used in many industries:
Metallurgical industry: metallurgical furnaces, foundries, rolling mills.
Aerospace industry: on-board equipment cabling.
Shipbuilding industry: cabling of machines and equipment on ships.
Cement and ceramic industry: cabling of equipment operating at high temperatures.
Power plants: electrical installations requiring high thermal and chemical resistance.
Industrial automation: connections of sensors, controllers and other automation devices.
Specialized lighting: cabling of spotlights and other light sources operating in harsh conditions.
Thanks to its properties, this wire is also suitable for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors, such as robotics or medical devices.
