Silicone cable for demanding applications
This exceptionally flexible silicone cable is designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions, both low and high. Its construction and materials guarantee reliability and safety in various industrial applications. The cable is characterized by high resistance to external factors, making it an ideal choice for harsh environments.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of multi-strand, very flexible class 6 conductor, providing high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Insulation made of another material (ETIM specification) guarantees electrical and thermal resistance. The cable is designed for rated voltages of 300/500 V, making it a universal solution for many installations. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2.1 mm with a conductor cross-section of 0.25 mm².
It is worth noting the halogen-free construction of the cable, which ensures safety in case of fire – it limits the emission of toxic gases and smoke (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2). Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, greases, diluted acids, alkalis and other chemicals.
Applications and benefits
The cable is widely used in various industries: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It can also be used in power plants. Its flexibility makes installation easy even in tight spaces. The operating temperature range is from -60°C to +180°C (stationary) and from -25°C to +180°C (flexible), allowing it to be used in extreme conditions. The minimum bending radius is 12.5x the cable diameter for flexible operation and 5x the diameter for fixed laying – it is worth remembering this during installation.
