Silicone cable for demanding conditions
This flexible silicone cable is designed to operate in extreme temperatures and harsh industrial environments. It features high resistance to external factors, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications. The cable is made of multi-strand, highly flexible Class 6 wire, providing excellent flexibility and ease of installation.
Construction and properties
The HELUTHERM SiFF cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² has insulation made of a material other than standard plastics, which affects its unique properties. The rated voltage is 300/500 V, and the outer diameter is approximately 2.7 mm. It is a single-core, halogen-free cable, which increases safety – in the event of a fire, it releases fewer toxic gases (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2). Its construction provides resistance to high temperatures (up to +180°C in stationary and flexible operation) and low temperatures (down to -60°C), allowing it to be used in a wide range of applications. Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, greases, diluted acids and alkalis.
Applications and benefits
This cable is primarily used in industries such as: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. Halogen-free properties also make it suitable for installation in power plants. Thanks to its flexibility and resistance to high temperatures, it is ideal for use where standard cables fail. The minimum bending radius (12.5x cable diameter for flexible operation and 5x for fixed) makes installation easy even in tight spaces. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250-1 and 502 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the LVD 2014/35/EU directive.
