Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures HELUTHERM® 145 1x25 mm² yellow-green 51433
Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures
This yellow-green HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 25 mm² is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and fire safety are critical. Made with a multi-strand, flexible class 5 conductor, insulated with a different material (details in the technical documentation), it provides a reliable connection in electrical installations. The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500 V, and its approximate outer diameter is 9.9 mm.
Application and properties
This cable is widely used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electric machines (thermal class B), distribution boards, and in the construction of machines and electrical installations. The possibility of use in protective conduits increases its versatility – with such arrangement, a voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC is permissible. In rail vehicles, it can even operate at a DC voltage of up to 900V.
A key feature of this cable is its halogen-free construction. In the event of a fire, it does not spread flames and does not release toxic gases, significantly increasing evacuation safety. Additionally, high temperature resistance allows for potential reduction of the cable cross-section under certain conditions – saving material without compromising safety. The cable also features good resistance to UV radiation, oils, and weather conditions.
Construction and parameters
The conductors are made of tinned copper, and the insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer ensures high flexibility and durability. The cable has Germanischer Lloyd approval, confirming its compliance with strict safety standards. The flexible operating temperature range is from -35°C to +120°C, while the stationary range is from -55°C to +145°C. Fire tests (compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-3-22 and other standards) confirm its properties limiting the spread of fire and the absence of harmful substances during combustion. The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 12.5 x cable diameter, and for stationary operation 4 x cable diameter.
