Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures HELUTHERM® 145 1x50 mm² yellow-green 51461
Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures
This yellow-green HELUTHERM® 145 cable with a cross-section of 50 mm² is a reliable solution for applications requiring high thermal resistance and fire safety. The cable is designed for installations where limiting the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire is crucial, ensuring safe evacuation.
The cable is characterized by a flexible, stranded construction (class 5), which facilitates its installation and adaptation to various installation configurations. The insulation made of a material other than standard PVC provides resistance to high temperatures and aggressive environments. A rated voltage of up to 500 V makes it versatile in many electrical applications.
Application and properties
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is widely used in:
- Wiring of lighting fixtures – especially where high thermal resistance is required.
- Heating devices – ideal for connections in furnaces, heaters and other heat-generating devices.
- Electrical machines (thermal class B) – provides reliable connections in motors and generators.
- Distribution boards – safe routing of cables in central points of electrical installation.
- Machine construction and under-, on- and flush-mounted installations – versatile use in various types of buildings and industrial facilities.
In addition, this cable meets stringent fire safety standards:
- Limited flame propagation – slows down the spread of flames in the event of a fire.
- Low emission of smoke and toxic gases – increases the chances of safe evacuation of people in the danger zone.
- Resistance to external factors – exhibits good resistance to abrasion, cuts, oils and weather conditions, including UV radiation and ozone.
Technical characteristics
The cable has a nominal cross-section of 50 mm², which allows for the transmission of significant currents. Its approximate outer diameter is 13 mm, which should be taken into account when designing cable routes. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V, which makes it suitable for most standard electrical installations. It is worth remembering that when laying in protective conduits, it can be used with a nominal voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC. In rail vehicles, a constant voltage load of up to 900V is permissible. High temperature load capacity may allow the use of cables with smaller cross-sections - however, this requires an individual assessment of the installation operating conditions.
