Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures
This black, single-core HELUTHERM® 145 cable is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and safety are critical. The cable meets UL/CSA standards and is characterized by high-quality workmanship, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users. The use of halogen-free materials provides additional safety in the event of a fire, minimizing the emission of toxic gases.
Construction and properties
The cable has a tinned copper core, which guarantees good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer provides excellent dielectric properties and mechanical strength. Electronic crosslinking of the insulation increases its temperature resistance, allowing operation in a wide temperature range – from -35°C to +120°C (flexible) and -55°C to +145°C (stationary). Additionally, the cable is resistant to UV and ozone radiation, allowing it to be used in outdoor conditions.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines, switchgear, and in the construction of machines and concealed, surface and flush-mounted installations. It will also be useful in communication systems and outdoor installations. It is not intended for direct use in rail vehicles, gutters or tanks. The cable meets the requirements of UL Style 3578 and CSA C22.2 No. 210 standards. It has the approval of Germanischer Lloyd. Compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU is confirmed by the CE marking.
Information on technical parameters: the nominal cross-section of the core is 1.5 mm², the nominal voltage is 600 V, and the test voltage is 3000 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 3.4 mm. The core belongs to class 5 – flexible stranded wire. The minimum bending radius for flexible installation is 12.5 times the core diameter, and for stationary installation – 4 times the core diameter. The cable is also characterized by UV resistance.
