This single-core cable with a fiberglass braid is designed to operate in exceptionally harsh conditions where standard cables fail. It is characterized by its resistance to very high temperatures, making it indispensable in demanding industrial and specialized applications. Construction and properties
The HELUTHERM® 400 cable stands out with its unique construction, ensuring its exceptional properties. The nickel-plated, multi-strand core guarantees good flexibility and corrosion resistance. Insulation made of heat-resistant fiberglass fabric, additionally impregnated with a special substance, ensures resistance to extreme temperatures – from -60°C to +400°C (short-term up to +450°C). A fiberglass braid increases mechanical strength and resistance to damage. Additionally, this cable is characterized by excellent chemical and radiation resistance.
The use of special insulation allows operation in environments exposed to aggressive chemicals and ionizing radiation. The minimum bending radius is 15 times the outer diameter of the cable, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. It should be noted that above 200°C during the first start-up, the impregnating varnish may degrade – this is a normal phenomenon related to the specifics of the insulating material.
