Balcony and terrace drain – effective drainage with adaptation options

This HL90 balcony and terrace gully is a solution for gravity drainage of water from balconies and terraces. Designed for durability and ease of installation, it provides effective water drainage, minimizing the risk of puddling and structural damage. The gully design allows integration with various waterproofing systems, which is crucial for ensuring tightness and long-term protection.

Construction and functionality

The gully is characterized by a horizontal DN40/50 outlet, which facilitates connection to the existing sewage system. Made of durable polypropylene (PP) and stainless steel, it guarantees corrosion resistance and mechanical damage. The stainless steel grate with dimensions of 115x115 mm provides efficient water flow and an aesthetic appearance. Adjustable base height in the range of 10-80mm allows adaptation to different thicknesses of flooring. A flow rate of 0.56 l/s makes the gully suitable for surfaces up to 18 m² with typical rainfall (300 l/(s·ha)).

An additional advantage is the possibility of expanding the system with additional elements – straight and flange extensions (HL340N, HL85N-3020) – which allows adapting the drainage to the specific conditions of a given project. The HL82 heating set can be used to prevent water from freezing in winter, which increases safety. Thanks to this solution, installers can create a comprehensive drainage system tailored to individual customer needs.

Application and compatibility

The HL90 terrace and balcony gully is used in new construction and during the modernization of existing terraces and balconies. It is ideal for both individual customers and professional contractors. Compatible with various types of flooring (ceramic tiles, stoneware, wood), as well as waterproofing systems. The possibility of a tight connection with the waterproofing layer thanks to the HL83 series sealing sets ensures long-term protection against moisture and leaks. Load class K3 (up to 300 kg) guarantees safety even in areas with high pedestrian traffic.
