This DN50/75 balcony and terrace drain with a swivel outlet is the optimal solution for modern terraces and balconies, especially in combination with thin-layer waterproofing systems. Designed by HL Hutterer & Lechner, it combines functionality, durability and ease of installation. Its construction ensures efficient water drainage, and the adjustable outlet angle makes it easy to adapt to the existing installation.

Design and application

The drain consists of a polymer concrete collar, which provides stability and a watertight connection to the substrate. The collar is height-adjustable, allowing for precise adjustment to the insulation layer. The rotating outlet allows for stepless adjustment of the angle from 121x121mm to horizontal, increasing installation flexibility. In addition, the drain is equipped with an anti-odor flap, which prevents unpleasant odors from entering the building. The top frame is cut to size (0-55mm) and the stainless steel grate (115x115mm) provide an aesthetic appearance and durability.

It is worth remembering that the steel grate embedded in the collar extends into the screed and prevents settlement movements. After applying a permanently elastic sealing compound, a glass fiber mesh is laid as reinforcement, which further protects the transition to the drain.
