Emergency roof inlet with heater – protection against flooding

This vertical roof inlet, designed for outdoor installation, provides reliable protection for the building against the effects of heavy rainfall. Its main task is emergency gravitational drainage of the roof, activated when the main water drainage system fails – e.g. during exceptionally heavy rainfall or icing. The inlet effectively drains water from the roof surface, minimizing the risk of leaks and structural damage.

It is important to remember that the emergency drainage system should be a separate installation, independent of the main water drainage system from the roof. Water drained through the emergency inlet should be directed to a safe place, e.g. to the area adjacent to the building.

Design and functionality

The inlet has been designed with ease of installation and reliable operation in mind. Made of high-quality PP (polypropylene) plastic, it is characterized by resistance to weather conditions and corrosion. A key element is the built-in heating system (230V), which prevents water from freezing inside the inlet during low temperatures, ensuring its continuous functionality even in difficult winter conditions.

Adjustable overflow height (in the range of 28-68mm) allows for precise adjustment of the inlet to specific installation conditions and ensures optimal operation regardless of the water level on the roof. In addition, it is equipped with a basket with a diameter of 262mm, which stops leaves and other contaminants, preventing clogging of the installation and maintaining high throughput. The inlet body is thermally insulated, which minimizes heat loss and increases the efficiency of the heating system.
