Emergency roof inlet – protection against the effects of heavy rainfall
This vertical roof inlet, made of polypropylene (PP), is a reliable solution for emergency roof drainage. Its main task is to drain excess water in situations where the main drainage system cannot provide sufficient capacity – for example, during exceptionally heavy rainfall. This inlet must not be connected to the main roof drainage system, and its task is to direct the water to the area adjacent to the building.
The inlet is designed for spigot connections DN75 or compensating sleeves of HDPE welded systems. The design with an overflow and adjustable collar height (in the range of 28-68mm) allows for precise adaptation to the specifics of the roof and ensures optimal operation even under changing weather conditions. Adjusting the collar height allows you to adapt to the permissible water build-up height, which is crucial for the effective operation of the system.
Construction and installation
The inlet has a drainage grate with a leaf basket with a diameter of 262 mm, which prevents clogging and ensures long-term functionality. Made of PP, it is characterized by high resistance to weather conditions and corrosion. The installation height is 100 mm. The weight of the inlet itself is about 3 kg, and the weight with packaging is 3.8 kg. The external dimensions are 300 x 385 x 385 mm, and the volume is about 0.044 m³.
The use of a twisting ring allows for easy installation with roofing foil. Thermal insulation of the body minimizes the risk of thermal bridges. Thanks to this, the inlet not only protects the building from flooding, but also contributes to improving energy efficiency.
