The mesh-inertial dirt separator IOW-65/m is a key element in maintaining the efficiency of heating, district heating, cooling, water supply systems, and industrial installations. Its task is to effectively remove solid impurities contained in the working medium, which translates into a longer lifespan and reliability of the entire system. This reduces costs associated with repairs, maintenance and downtime.

This model, designated IOW-65/m, is particularly recommended for use in heat nodes, boiler rooms and in more extensive domestic central heating and domestic hot water (CH and DHW) installations. It replaces older types of dirt separators compliant with BN - 69/8864-05, offering better filtration efficiency.

Principle of operation and construction

The operation of the IOW-65/m dirt separator is based on a two-stage cleaning process: centrifugal and collective. Water entering the device gains rotational movement, which causes impurities to precipitate on the walls of the tank and settle to the bottom. Then it flows through a filter mesh with a density of 196 meshes per square centimeter, where smaller particles are retained. This design ensures high efficiency in removing impurities with a grain size of more than 0.1 mm.

Regular removal of accumulated sediment through the drain connection is crucial for maintaining optimal device performance. IOW dirt separators are available in versions with a magnetic insert (IOW mag.), which adds a third filtration stage – magnetic, capturing ferromagnetic particles. This allows for even more effective protection of the installation against corrosion and scale formation.
