Cable for inverters – reliability and electromagnetic compatibility
This flexible, four-core BiTservo 2XSLCY-J cable with a cross-section of 4 mm² is specifically designed to power motors with frequency inverters. Its construction provides increased current carrying capacity and full electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), which is crucial in modern industrial installations. This cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who value stable and safe operation of drive systems.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of flexible class 5 copper strand, which ensures flexibility and easy installation even in tight spaces. The cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation increases resistance to high temperatures (up to 90°C for the conductor) and provides better insulation than traditional PVC. Two screens – one in the form of a polyester tape with aluminum, and the other in the form of a braid of copper wires – effectively suppress electromagnetic interference, protecting sensitive equipment. The outer jacket made of special PVC is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, increasing safety. The transparent color of the jacket makes it easier to identify the cores.

Thanks to its low capacitance, it minimizes energy losses and ensures stable transmission of control signals. This is particularly important in applications requiring precise control of engine speed and torque. In addition, the cable meets the requirements of electromagnetic compatibility EMC*, which guarantees trouble-free cooperation with other devices in the installation. For optimal grounding of the screens, it is recommended to use metal cable glands or circumferential grounding (360°).
