Construction and properties

The BiT SErvo 2XSLCY-J cable is designed for demanding applications. Its construction includes:

• Conductors: Class 5 flexible copper wire, providing flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during frequent bending.
• Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), which increases current carrying capacity and improves dielectric properties.
• Screens: Double screen – electrostatic (polyester tape with aluminum) and braided tinned copper wires – effectively minimizes electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable energy transmission.
• Sheath: Special self-extinguishing and flame-retardant PVC (compliant with PN-EN 60332-1-2), ensuring safe use. A transparent sheath facilitates identification of the conductors.

Additional features include low capacitance and compliance with EMC requirements. For optimal grounding of the screens and ensuring full compliance with EMC standards, the use of metal cable glands or 360° circumferential grounding is recommended.

Operating parameters and scope of applications

The BiT SErvo 2XSLCY-J cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range:

• Permanent installation: from -40°C to 80°C
• Movable installations: from -5°C to 80°C
• Maximum operating conductor temperature: 90°C

The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter:

• Ø < 12 mm – 5 x Ø
• Ø = 12 ÷ 20 mm – 7.5 x Ø
• Ø > 20 mm – 10 x Ø

This cable is perfect for use in dry and humid industrial premises, on production lines and in machines. For outdoor applications and direct burial, the BiTservo UV 2XSLCYK-J FR cable with a black outer sheath is recommended. The rated voltage of the cable is 0.6/1 kV, and the insulation resistance exceeds 200 MΩ x km. The conductor/conductor capacitance is in the range of 70 to 250 nF/km, and the conductor/screen capacitance is in the range of 110 to 410 nF/km.
