Installation cable for wide application

The YDY żo 3x1,0 750V cable is a universal solution for electrical installations in buildings. It is suitable for installations on plaster, under plaster, as well as in dry and humid rooms. Its construction with copper conductors of class 1 ensures reliable current conduction, and the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation guarantees safe use. This cable is particularly recommended for transmitting electrical energy in home, office and industrial installations.

Construction and characteristics

The YDY żo 3x1,0 cable is characterized by a round cross-section and three copper conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm². The conductors are insulated with PVC, and the entire cable is surrounded by an external coating also made of PVC, which provides additional mechanical and chemical protection. The color coding of the conductor insulation (brown, black, gray or green-yellow, blue, brown) makes it easier to identify individual conductors during installation. The rated voltage of the cable is 750V (450/750V), which allows it to be used in various electrical applications. The cable weighs 82.75 kg per kilometer, which affects the convenience during installation, and its outer diameter is approximately 7.2 mm – important when adapting to existing installations.

Safety and compliance with standards

The YDY żo 3x1,0 cable meets the requirements of EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 standard and has a reaction to fire class of Eca. This means that in the event of a fire, the cable emits a limited amount of smoke and toxic gases. Additionally, it has a certificate of compliance with IEC 60332-1-2 confirming its fire resistance. The cable is resistant to low temperatures according to EN 60811-504+505+506, which increases its versatility. Low conductor resistance (18.1 Ohm/km) is important when designing longer sections of the installation, and a large bending radius (86.4 mm) makes it easier to lay the cable even in tight spaces.
