The YDY 5x1.5 cable is a universal solution for electrical installations, both in residential and commercial buildings. Construction and characteristics

The YDY cable has five cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², allowing it to power various electrical receivers. The cores are made of class 1 copper (solid wire) and are identified by colors. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation provides good protection against mechanical damage and environmental factors. The whole is surrounded by an external PVC coating in white color. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 9.6 mm, and its weight is 171.428 kg/km.

This cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 750 V and a working voltage of 450 V. It is resistant to low temperatures and can be used in ambient temperatures from -30°C to +50°C after installation (without vibration). The maximum permissible core temperature is 70°C. The minimum bending radius during fixed installation is 115.2 mm. The cable also has protection against electric shock thanks to the presence of a protective conductor (PE). The reaction to fire class is Eca, which means limited flammability and smoke emission.
