This Steel sliding coupling with a diameter of 15 mm is a reliable solution for connecting steel pipes in heating, water and technological systems. Made of RSt 34-2 carbon steel, coated with a layer of zinc (8-15 µm), it provides corrosion resistance and long-lasting tightness. It is designed for crimping, which guarantees quick and secure installation without the need for welding or screwing.

Design and application

The Steel coupling is an element of the KAN-therm Steel system, designed to create durable and safe connections. Its simple construction and nominal connection diameter of DN 12 and outer pipe diameter of 15 mm make it perfectly suited for standard installations. The length of the coupling is 80 mm, and the length of each connection is 40 mm. The use of a seal made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber further increases the tightness and reliability of the connection. The coupling is compatible with crimpers available on the market, making it easier for installers to work.

Safety and quality control

A key feature of the Steel coupling is the LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leakage function. This means that an un-crimped connection is leak-proof and easily detectable during a pressure test. This is an important convenience for installers, allowing for quick identification of installation errors and ensuring the safety of the entire installation. The maximum working pressure of the coupling is 16 bar at 20°C, which confirms its strength and reliability in demanding working conditions.
