PPR stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 pipe - 110x18.3, 4 m length 1229205001
Polypropylene pipe for water and heating installations
PPR stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 pipe is a reliable solution for building water installations – both hot and cold domestic water, as well as central heating. Made of random polypropylene (PP-R) stabilized with fiberglass, it is characterized by high strength and resistance to operating conditions. Fiberglass stabilization minimizes thermal expansion, which is particularly important in heating systems where there are significant temperature fluctuations. This ensures that the pipe maintains its dimensions and provides long-lasting tightness of connections.
The pipe with a diameter of 110 mm and a wall thickness of 18.3 mm, supplied in lengths of 4 meters, is designed to operate at a maximum working pressure of 20 bar (for cold water). The PN20 pressure class guarantees safe use in various applications. The white color of the pipe makes it easier to identify in the installation.
Construction features and application
The stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 pipe is distinguished by its versatile application. It can be used in installations:
- Central heating: withstands temperatures up to 60°C and pressure of 6 bar.
- Domestic hot water: resistant to temperatures up to 60°C and pressure of 10 bar.
- Cold domestic water: operates at pressures up to 20 bar.
- Compressed air: thanks to dimensional stability and tightness of connections.
- Specialized installations: for transporting aggressive media (compatibility of the material with the media must be checked).
The minimum bending radius of the pipe is 8D (8 times the outer diameter), which makes installation easier even in tight spaces. The smooth inner surface of the pipe (roughness k = 0.007 mm) minimizes pressure losses of the flowing medium. The pipe meets the PN-EN 15874 standard and has CSTB, ITB, Lloyds and PZH certificates, which confirm its high quality and safety of use.
Advantages for the installer and end user
- Easy installation: connections are made by polyfusion welding, which is quick and reliable. There is no need to use additional gaskets or adhesives, eliminating the risk of leaks.
- Durability and reliability: fiberglass stabilization provides high resistance to deformation and mechanical damage, which translates into a long service life of the installation – the manufacturer offers a guarantee of up to 15 years (individual construction).
- Corrosion resistance: polypropylene is a chemically inert material, which means there is no risk of corrosion and impact on the quality of the transported medium.
- Low coefficient of thermal expansion: minimizes stresses in the installation caused by temperature changes, preventing cracks and leaks.
- Wide range of applications: possibility of use in various types of installations – from domestic to industrial.
