Protection and inspection in a corrugated sewerage system

This drainage system component combines the function of inspection access to the installation with effective protection against sewage backflow. It is designed for installation in rising pipes with a nominal diameter of DN 315 mm (the outer diameter of the corrugated pipe is typically 355 mm), allowing connection of an inflow from a smooth pipe with a diameter of DN 160 mm. Thanks to the use of a socket, the connection with the inflow pipe is tight and durable, eliminating the risk of leaks at the critical transition point between different types of materials. The construction allows for free gravity flow of sewage while acting as a barrier against unwanted hydrodynamic phenomena.

Mechanical resistance and flow hydrodynamics

The key advantage of this solution is its thoughtful internal geometry. Smooth, specially profiled surfaces of the flow channel minimize hydraulic resistance, resulting in faster sewage drainage and preventing sediment buildup on the walls. For the installer, this means less frequent need for mechanical cleaning, and for the end user – stable sewerage operation without the risk of blockages. The external part of the housing is reinforced with additional ribbing, which significantly increases the structural stiffness. This allows the component to withstand soil pressure without issues, even in the case of deep excavations or heavy equipment movement over the manhole.

The product is mainly used in non-entry manholes where access to the sewer network or protection against rainwater backflow is required (in versions with additional accessories). It is made of a material chemically resistant to compounds found in domestic and industrial sewage, guaranteeing a long service life of the installation without corrosion or material degradation. Installation is simple thanks to precise dimensions – the total length is approximately 0.6 m, with a width of approx. 0.45 m and a height of approx. 0.35 m, facilitating its placement in excavations with limited space. The unit weight (approx. 4-5 kg) allows for easy handling of the component during earthworks without the need for a crane or specialized lifting equipment.
