Robust and safe concrete access cover for outdoor applications

This round, concrete access cover with a diameter of 600 mm and a height of 150 mm is designed for installation in areas exposed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, such as sidewalks, squares, or green areas. It meets the requirements of PN-EN 124-2 standard, class C250 – which means it can withstand a load of up to 25 tons. This guarantees safety and durability in heavily used areas.

Construction and user features

The access cover is made of high-quality concrete, which ensures its resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage. The cover is filled with C35/45 concrete class with the addition of frost-resistant additives (+R), which increases its durability even in harsh climatic conditions. Painting protects against corrosion and improves aesthetics. Additionally, the access cover has a damping insert that reduces noise during the passage of vehicles or walking on it – this is especially important in residential areas. Locators prevent the cover from rotating in the body, ensuring stability and safety of use. The body design allows for easy paving with paving stones, allowing it to be harmoniously integrated into the surroundings.

Application and installation

C250 class access covers are primarily used at curbs, where they can reach a maximum of 0.5 meters into the traffic lane or 0.2 meters into the pedestrian path. They are ideal for securing underground installations (e.g., water supply, sewage) and providing access to them when needed. In the version without latches, the access cover opening is secured with a plastic plug. Installation is simple and does not require specialized tools – just a properly prepared substrate and stable installation of the access cover. The possibility of placing a customer's design (logo) on the cover allows for personalization and adaptation to the character of a given space.
