PoE+ Switch for Demanding Installations

This 24-port PoE+ switch from Lanberg (model RSGE-24P-2GE-2S-360) is a robust solution for networks requiring reliable power and data transmission. The device combines the functionality of a typical network switch with the ability to supply power to connected devices via the PoE/PoE+ standard (802.3af/at), which significantly simplifies installation, especially in places with limited access to power outlets. It is ideal for homes, businesses, monitoring systems, alarm systems, access control, and cable TV networks.

Power and Connection Flexibility

The switch offers a total of 28 ports: 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE+ support, 2 Gigabit Ethernet Uplink ports, and 2 Gigabit SFP ports. This provides a real power output of up to 360W for end devices – allowing you to connect up to 24 devices powered by the IEEE 802.3af standard (up to 15W per port) or 12 devices powered by the IEEE 802.3at standard (up to 30W per port). Uplink ports allow for flexible connection to other switches or network devices, as well as segregation of data traffic from PoE ports. This is particularly useful in monitoring systems, where you can simultaneously record images and share them on the local network or the Internet.

Intelligent Power Management and Security

In situations where the available PoE budget is exceeded, the switch intelligently disconnects ports starting with the highest number to maintain the operation of the remaining devices. This function ensures the stability of critical network elements. Additionally, the switch has a built-in surge protection of up to 4kV, protecting devices from damage caused by sudden voltage spikes. The ability to operate in Extend mode up to 250 meters (after enabling the appropriate switch) extends the network range without the need for additional signal amplifiers – which is particularly useful in extensive monitoring installations.

Ready for Mounting

The switch is designed for mounting in a 19" rack, and the set includes appropriate mounting brackets and screws (excluding M6). The metal housing provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage. Simple operation (plug and play) makes configuration quick and intuitive.
