OLFLEX EB CY cable is a high-quality, shielded control cable designed for use in industrial environments where protection against electromagnetic interference is required. The construction with a shielding braid provides stable and safe signal transmission, even near sources of interference. This two-core cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² in a blue PVC jacket is ideal for control, automation and measurement systems.

Construction and application

OLFLEX EB CY cable is characterized by a solid construction. Copper strands of flexibility class 5 (multi-strand flexible) are insulated with PVC, and the entire cable is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires forming a braid. The outer PVC coating provides resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. This makes the cable perfect for applications requiring frequent bending and movement, such as robotics, conveyors or construction machinery. It is particularly recommended for installation in potentially explosive areas – as an intrinsically safe cable.

OLFLEX EB CY cable has been designed with safety and efficiency in mind. Its permissible operating temperature during installation is from -5 to 70°C, and after installation (without vibration) from -40 to 80°C. The minimum bending radius for mobile installations is 124 mm, and for fixed installations 37.2 mm, making it easy to route cables even in tight spaces. The rated voltage U is 500 V, and U0 – 300 V, ensuring safe operation of devices. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 6.2 mm, which allows saving space during installation. The reaction to fire class is Eca, providing additional safety. It is also worth mentioning the lack of resistance to oils and low temperatures according to IEC 60811-404 and EN 60811-504+505+506 standards.
