LXT Cordless Hydraulic Cable Crimper DTC302ZK
Effective Cable Crimping in Challenging Conditions
Working with thick conductors in industrial or power installations often encounters logistical barriers. Heavy, stationary hydraulic presses hinder mobility, while manual crimping of large cross-sections is not only exhausting but also risky for connection quality. The device in question solves this problem by bringing hydraulic power directly to the construction site or distribution cabinet. Thanks to 18 V battery power from the LXT system, the installer gains full freedom of movement without the need to connect to the mains or carry heavy generators.
Power and Precision in One Device
The key advantage of this press is its ability to handle large cable cross-sections, which is essential during network modernization or the construction of new facilities. The device effectively handles copper conductors up to 400 mm² (approx. 22.5 mm diameter) and aluminum conductors up to 300 mm² (approx. 19.5 mm diameter). This performance allows for the creation of durable "cos" connections (so-called cable lugs) in a single work cycle. The hydraulic mechanism ensures constant pressure regardless of the operator's applied force, eliminating the risk of under-crimped contacts – a common cause of failures and overheating in installations.
The device weighs approximately 7.2 kg, which, while maintaining high power, allows for comfortable operation even over extended periods. The design is intended for professional applications in power engineering and industrial construction. Although the set does not include a battery or charger ("body only" model), compatibility with the existing 18 V LXT machine park enables immediate use of the tool in daily work.
Applications and Practical Benefits
This tool is particularly suitable where assembly speed and reliability of electrical connections are critical:
Main distribution board installation: Rapid crimping of thick cores when connecting transformers or main busbars.
Earthworks and cabling: Ability to perform connections in hard-to-reach locations without the need to deploy heavy stationary equipment.
Industrial installations: Safe joining of power cables for high-power motors or heating systems.
Thanks to the use of hydraulic technology powered by battery energy, the crimping process becomes repeatable and controlled. There is no need for additional levers or physical force – simply pull the trigger, and the system completes the crimping cycle automatically until the required pressure is reached. This not only saves time for the electrician but, above all, guarantees safety for the entire electrical installation once commissioned.
