The UBZ-301 asynchronous motor protection module is a universal device designed for continuous monitoring of the operating status of electric motors. Designed for three-phase 400V / 50Hz systems, it is perfect for protecting motors with a power of 2.5 kW to 25 kW – both in standard installations and in networks with an isolated neutral point. UBZ-301 not only monitors but actively protects motors against various threats. It reacts to:

• Power supply problems: voltage surges, phase failures, phase sequence disturbances, voltage asymmetry – all of these can lead to damage. The module effectively detects these anomalies and reacts.
• Mechanical overloads: symmetrical current overloads are a common problem. UBZ-301 offers protection with adjustable time delay, adapting to the specifics of the load.
• Current asymmetries: internal motor damage often manifests as asymmetry of phase currents. The module detects them and can block motor restart, preventing further damage.
• Lack of torque on the shaft: important especially for pumps – the module monitors the minimum starting/working current and switches off the motor in case of “dry running”.
• Low insulation level: before starting, the module checks the insulation condition and blocks the start-up if problems are detected.
• Short circuit to ground: protection against leakage currents provides an additional level of safety.

The module implements protection by controlling the contactor coil, ensuring a quick and effective response in emergency situations.
