Thermal and acoustic insulation for pipelines – Paroc Section Alucoat T pipe insulation.
Paroc Section Alucoat T mineral wool insulation is an effective solution for thermal and acoustic insulation of heating, central heating, steam, domestic hot water and air conditioning systems. The product is particularly recommended for industrial installations where high resistance to environmental conditions and stable insulation properties are required. Made of rock wool covered with reinforced aluminum foil with a self-adhesive overlap, it provides not only a reduction in heat and noise loss, but also an aesthetic appearance of the installation.
Construction and properties
The insulation has been designed for easy and quick installation. The self-adhesive overlap eliminates the need for additional sealing materials, and the precise workmanship guarantees the tightness of the connections. The aluminum foil acts as a barrier against moisture, protecting the insulation from dampness and loss of properties. Rock wool is characterized by excellent insulation parameters – the thermal conductivity coefficient is 0.033 W/(m.K) – which translates into significant energy savings. Additionally, this material exhibits high temperature resistance (up to +80°C for aluminum foil) and fire protection properties. The rock wool is classified in the highest class M1, which means it has no harmful effect on indoor air quality.
Application and benefits
Paroc Section Alucoat T insulation is widely used in both residential and industrial construction. Thanks to its flexibility and ability to adapt to different pipe diameters, it is ideal for installations with non-standard shapes. Quick installation thanks to the self-adhesive overlap saves time and labor costs. Using the insulation translates to:
- Reduction of heat loss: lowering heating and air conditioning costs
- Acoustic insulation: reducing noise generated by installations
- Protection against condensation: preventing moisture and corrosion
- Aesthetic appearance: neat and professional look of the installation
- Easy installation: quick and simple application without the need for specialized tools
- Durability: high resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage
- Safety: non-flammable material and does not emit harmful substances
Installation of the insulation requires caution – surfaces should be clean and dry, and the self-adhesive overlap should be pressed evenly without excessive tension. To ensure the tightness of the connections, it is recommended to use mounting tape at the joints of sections and at supporting elements.
