Operates exclusively with PL-T and PL-C 4-pin 18 W lamps

This is an electronic ballast designed solely for single- and double-lamp circuits using PL-T and PL-C type lamps with a power rating of 18 W. It does not support other fluorescent lamp types — it is incompatible with T7, T16, TC-D, TC-L, or any others. If you have different lamps, this ballast will not be compatible.

For 1- and 2-lamp circuits — no additional functions

It can operate one or two lamps simultaneously, provided each lamp has exactly 18 W power. There is no dimming capability — no 0-10 V, DALI, triac, or other brightness control inputs. There is also no potentiometer, button, or communication with smart lighting systems. This is a simple, basic ballast for switching on and maintaining lamp operation.

Plastic housing, IP20, no strain relief

The enclosure is made of plastic — lightweight and corrosion-resistant, but not waterproof or dustproof. The IP20 protection rating means it operates only in dry indoor environments — unsuitable for bathrooms, damp corridors, or outdoor use. There is no strain relief for the wires — proper cable securing must be ensured to avoid mechanical stress on the connections.

Operation at 220–240 V and 50/60 Hz frequency

Designed for standard European mains voltage — operates stably within 220–240 V and at both frequencies (50 or 60 Hz). Operating temperature range from -25°C to +50°C — sufficient for most commercial and office spaces. No special thermal conditions are required.

Construction features: terminal block, dimensions 103.8 × 67.8 × 30 mm

Electrical connections are made via terminal blocks — easy to install and service. No pre-attached cables — all connections are made by the installer. Dimensions are compact: less than 7 cm in width and 3 cm in height — fits most reflectors and luminaires typical for PL-T/PL-C lamps.

Compliance with standards and high energy efficiency

Complies with IEC 61347-2-3 (safety) and IEC 60929 (performance) standards. Energy efficiency indicator CELMA EEI A2 — indicates low power losses and efficient system operation. Active power at full load is approximately 95% (cos φ = 0.95), reducing the load on the electrical installation.

"Warm start" function — gentle lamp ignition

Does not use a high-voltage impulse. Instead, it employs a "warm start" method — gradual electrode heating before arc ignition. This extends the lifespan of PL-T/PL-C lamps by several hundred hours compared to older "cold start" models. Operates silently — no characteristic "whine" or "crackling" sounds.

No emergency function — normal operation mode only

This is not an emergency ballast. It does not support batteries or switching to emergency mode after a power failure. If emergency lighting is required, this model does not meet that requirement.
