Frequency inverter for a wide range of applications

The ATV320 frequency inverter is a versatile device designed to control synchronous and asynchronous motors in industrial and commercial applications. Its compact design allows for easy integration into machines, minimizing space requirements. It is a robust solution for packaging machines, conveyors, actuators and lifting devices.

This inverter offers a wide range of supply voltage (380…500 V) and is adapted to operate in 50/60 Hz networks. It provides precise control of the motor speed, as well as the ability to configure various control profiles, including vector and scalar control. This allows it to be adapted to the specific requirements of the application, optimizing both performance and energy consumption.

Functionality and communication

ATV320 offers rich communication possibilities, including CANopen, Modbus RTU interfaces and EtherNet/IP and PROFINET IO protocols. This enables easy integration with EcoStruxure Machine automation systems and other popular control platforms. The availability of expansion cards allows for further increasing the functionality of the device, adding additional communication or signal ports.

Built-in safety functions (STO, SLS, SS1, SMS, GDL) increase the safety level of the machine and allow compliance with stringent safety standards. Configuration of these functions is done using SoMove software.

Construction and parameters

The housing with dimensions 140 x 184 x 158 mm is made of high-quality materials ensuring durability and resistance to environmental conditions (IP20). The inverter is adapted for wall mounting using four mounting holes. The integrated EMC filter minimizes electromagnetic interference.

The rated output current is 9.5 A with a maximum power of 4 kW. The device has 6 digital inputs, 1 digital output, 3 analog inputs and 1 analog output, providing flexibility in connecting sensors and control elements. The built-in braking module (chopper) enables quick stopping of the motor in emergency situations or when working with a heavy load.
