This three-pole GZ1E motor starter with push-button drive is part of the EasyPact TVS series from Schneider Electric, designed for effective protection of motors against overloads and short circuits. It allows manual switching on and off of the motor, making it an ideal solution for both simple industrial and domestic applications. The starter combines thermal, magnetic protection functions and phase failure protection – all in one device.

Functionality and application

The GZ1E04 starter is designed to operate in AC circuits with a rated voltage of 690 V. Its overload release setting range is from 0.4 to 0.63 A, allowing it to be adapted to various motor loads with a power of up to 0.18 kW (AC-3). Thanks to its high short-circuit capacity (100 kA at 400 V), it provides effective protection of the installation even in the event of serious disturbances. Using this starter guarantees the safety and reliability of connected devices.

Construction and mounting

The starter is characterized by a compact design (44.5 mm wide, 89 mm high and 78 mm deep) and easy mounting on a DIN rail using screws. Connection of wires is done using screw terminals, ensuring a secure and durable connection. The housing made of high-quality materials provides an IP20 degree of protection, protecting the device against touch and larger solid particles. Additionally, the device's construction meets the standards IEC 60947-2 and IEC 60947-4, confirming its compliance with safety requirements.
