Distribution block for Al/Cu conductors – reliable connection and safety

The SCB 25-2 distribution-branching block is part of the SIMBLOCK series, designed for efficient and safe connection of aluminum (Al) and copper (Cu) conductors. Intended for industrial installations, commercial buildings and modern low-voltage switchboards, it operates at a rated voltage of up to 1000 V AC/DC. Its compact design and high current parameters make it an ideal solution for demanding applications.

Design and functionality

The key to the reliability of this block is the way the conductors are tightened – with two screws, which ensures a stable electrical connection and even pressure on the conductor. This eliminates the risk of conductors loosening during operation. The block supports aluminum and copper conductors with cross-sections from 2.5 mm² to 25 mm² (solid wire) and from 1.5 mm² to 16 mm² (stranded wire with ferrule). A width of only 41 mm allows saving space on the TS 35 mounting rail, which is particularly important in densely packed switchboards.

Safety and durability

Made of a durable thermoplastic material with a flammability class of UL94 V0, the SCB 25-2 block provides high resistance to mechanical and thermal damage. An additional cover protects against accidental contact with live parts, increasing safety. The rated current of 152A for aluminum conductors and 100A for copper conductors guarantees stable operation under high loads. Mounting on a standard DIN TS 35 rail is quick and easy, reducing installation time.
