The Steinel IS1 motion sensor is a reliable and easy-to-install solution for automating lighting both indoors and outdoors. It is ideal for monitoring areas around the house, driveways, entrances, and utility rooms. Thanks to the passive infrared (PIR) sensor and twilight sensitivity adjustment, it provides comfort and security by turning on the light only when needed. Surface mounting simplifies installation, and the robust thermoplastic housing guarantees durability even in harsh weather conditions.

Functionality and versatility

This sensor combines motion and twilight detection functions, allowing for precise adjustment of operation to prevailing conditions. Adjustable on-time (from 8 seconds to 35 minutes) and brightness threshold (2-2000 lux) allow you to optimize device performance to individual needs. A bridging switch provides additional flexibility in installation configuration. The maximum switching power of 500W allows you to control various types of light sources, including energy-saving LEDs. A detection range of up to 10 meters and a detection angle of 120 degrees provide a wide monitoring area.

Construction and mounting

The IS1 sensor is made of durable plastic resistant to UV radiation, which guarantees its long-term operation even in harsh outdoor conditions. The IP54 protection class protects against splashing water and dust. The ability to rotate the sensor horizontally (up to 60°) and vertically (up to 180°) and segmentally limit the detection area allows for precise adaptation to a specific location. Surface mounting is simple and quick - it does not require complicated installation work. In addition, the housing has a matte black (RAL 9005) finish, which provides an aesthetic appearance.
