Single-core installation cable with increased flexibility

The H05V-K (LGY) installation cable with a cross-section of 0,5 mm² is a high-quality solution for professional electrical installations. Made of class 5 stranded copper conductor in blue PVC insulation, it ensures excellent flexibility while maintaining full connection reliability.

Construction and materials

At the heart of the cable is a class 5 stranded copper conductor, consisting of many thin wires twisted together. This construction provides exceptional flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending - a key feature in applications requiring frequent movement or vibrations.

The insulation, made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with a nominal thickness of 0,6 mm, protects the conductor from mechanical damage and environmental conditions. The blue color of the insulation is intentional - according to international electrical standards, it signifies a neutral conductor, which facilitates identification during installation and service.

The cable has an outer diameter of 2,2 mm with a mass of 9,043 kg/km, making it a compact solution ideal for routing in tight spaces. A minimum bending radius of 8,8 mm allows for safe laying even in sharp turns.

Applications and compatibility

This cable model finds wide use in various electrical applications. It performs excellently in distribution boards and control cabinets, where numerous connections are often required in limited space. Its flexibility makes it an ideal choice for connections of moving machine parts and applications exposed to vibrations.

The cable can be permanently installed in installation conduits both surface-mounted or flush-mounted, as well as in installation ducts. It is suitable for both residential and industrial construction - from simple lighting circuits to advanced automation systems.

The rated voltage of 300/500 V enables use in standard domestic installations as well as many industrial applications. An operating current of up to approximately 9 A (at room temperature) is sufficient for most installation needs for this cross-section.

Operating parameters and safety

The cable maintains full functionality in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +50°C after permanent installation and from -15°C to +50°C during installation. The maximum conductor temperature is 70°C, guaranteeing safe operation even under loads close to the cable's limits.

The PVC insulation material provides good chemical and mechanical resistance, protecting against typical operational damage. The cable meets the requirements of the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding flame retardancy and has a fire reaction class of Eca.

A conductor resistance of 39 Ω/km at 20°C ensures minimal energy losses during current operation. The bare conductor surface guarantees optimal electrical conductivity while maintaining ease of soldering or final wiring.
