Universal connector for water and heating installations

The Tigris M5 20x1/2" GZ connector is a reliable solution for connecting pipes in hot and cold water systems, central heating, and underfloor heating. Made of high-quality brass, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance, and the use of an EPDM gasket guarantees a leak-proof connection. This is an element of the Wavin Tigris M5 system, which features an innovative Acoustic Leak Alert – an acoustic leak detection system during pressure tests.

Design and application

The connector combines a compression fitting and a tapered BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) external gas thread, allowing versatile use in various installation configurations. The nominal connection diameter 1 is 1/2 inch (15), and connection 2 – DN 15, ensuring compatibility with popular pipe diameters. The connector length is 57 mm, and the wrench size is 22 mm, making assembly and disassembly easier. It can be used in both new and existing installations.

The connector is compatible with pipes with an outer diameter of 20 mm (connection 1) and 21.2 mm (connection 2). The maximum working pressure is 10 bar at a maximum medium temperature of 70°C, guaranteeing safe and reliable system operation for a long time. It has a KIWA certificate confirming the high quality of the product and compliance with applicable standards.
