Reducing tee K5 C/Z water PN 10 25/16/25 3079827
Reducing tee for water and heating – a compromise-free connection
This K5 c/z reducing tee, made of high-quality polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU) by WAVIN, is a key element in plumbing and heating installations. It provides a durable and tight connection of pipes with different diameters – 25 mm, 16 mm and 25 mm – making it an ideal solution in systems requiring a change in cross-section. The PPSU construction guarantees resistance to corrosion, high temperatures and deposits, as well as high mechanical strength.
Design and practical application
This tee is designed for potable water and central heating systems where reliability and safety of connections are required. Its design based on radial pressing technology ensures easy and quick installation, and the stainless steel crimping sleeve further increases strength and resistance to damage. Thanks to the use of PPSU, the tee is resistant to thermal deformation even at temperatures above 200°C. It is worth mentioning the Acoustic Leak Alert function – an innovative solution allowing for the acoustic detection of leaks during the pressing process.
- Versatility: The ability to connect pipes of different diameters (25/16/25 mm) allows for flexible adaptation of the installation to individual needs.
- Durability: PPSU material ensures long-term operation without the risk of corrosion or scale build-up.
- Safety: DVGW quality mark for water confirms compliance with the highest safety standards. The KIWA certificate also testifies to the high quality of the product.
- Easy installation: Radial pressing technology speeds up the installation process and minimizes the risk of errors.
- Leak detection: Acoustic Leak Alert function facilitates the identification of any problems during installation.
- Thermal resistance: PPSU material retains its properties over a wide range of operating temperatures (0-70°C continuous, short-term up to 100°C).
Technical specifications and operating parameters
The K5 c/z reducing tee is characterized by a maximum working pressure of 10 bar at a temperature of up to 70°C. It is made of polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU) with threaded inserts made of lead-free DZR CW 724R brass (where threads are present). Seals are made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber, ensuring a tight connection. The blue color facilitates the identification of the tee's purpose – water. Additionally, the presence of a support collar increases the stability of the connection during pressing. The Zeta value of branch current separation according to DVGW W 575 is 0, confirming no influence on the electrical flow in the installation.
