Advantages of Biometric Access Control

Biometric KD readers use human physical features, such as a fingerprint, face or iris, for identification and authentication. These are unique and non-copyable features. Unlike cards, key rings, codes or passwords, they cannot be stolen, copied or obtained in an unauthorized manner, which significantly increases the accuracy of authentication and, consequently, maximizes the level of security. Biometric readers often operate on non-contact recognition, which increases the level of hygiene in public facilities, large companies, warehouses and other places used by many users.

Fingerprint reader – touch and non-touch

Among biometric access control systems, devices equipped with a fingerprint scanner are very popular. Contactless fingerprint readers are a particularly safe and comfortable solution for users. The user is identified by a quick wave of the hand. They do not have to touch the door sensor. The system starts scanning and verifying several fingers. The entire process takes less than 1 second.

Access control systems based on facial recognition

Our range includes multifunctional, non-contact access control systems with advanced face recognition readers (also in a mask). They are used in companies, offices, schools, hotels, medical facilities, etc. The algorithm works flawlessly. After recognizing the face, the door to the selected room or facility is opened. Optionally, the system will record the entry times of individual people. It is possible to manage the days/hours in which access is allowed/prohibited. The device is equipped with a relay output, which allows direct control of the electric strike or other elements controlling the door, gate, wicket, etc. An additional advantage of the solution is its modern design, building the prestige of the place.

Access control system with temperature measurement

We offer biometric access control systems that, in addition to a facial recognition reader, have a non-contact temperature measurement function (infrared) with very high accuracy, granting or restricting access to the room depending on the result of the measurement. This function can be disabled and reactivated as needed, e.g. seasonally. This is an extremely useful solution during the flu season and during periods of increased COVID-19 incidence.
