AustroPEX CW pre-insulated pipe with heating cable is an advanced solution designed for building efficient and safe installations. It is ideally suited for potable water, chilled water and sewage systems, and the additional heating cable ensures reliable operation even in harsh weather conditions. The pipe's construction combines flexibility, durability and excellent insulation properties, which translates into user comfort and long system life.

Construction and application

The pipe consists of several key elements that provide its unique parameters. The inner layer made of PE 100 (SDR 11) guarantees corrosion resistance and compliance with EN 12201 standard. It is surrounded by a flexible closed-cell microcellular XPE foam insulation, minimizing heat loss and water absorption (below 1% according to DIN 53428). The whole is protected by a corrugated outer jacket made of HDPE, which provides mechanical protection and facilitates pipe laying. An additional, self-regulating heating cable with a power of 10 W/m allows maintaining the appropriate medium temperature inside the pipe even at low ambient temperatures (down to -30°C).

AustroPEX CW pipe is particularly recommended for installations exposed to freezing or requiring a constant medium temperature. Thanks to its flexibility and low weight, installation is quick and convenient, and the corrugated surface makes it easy to route the pipe in hard-to-reach places. The possibility of ordering pipes in non-standard lengths further increases the comfort of the installer.
