Cable tray reducer – change of installation direction

The symmetrical RKSJ100/50H50 reducer is an element of the cable tray system, used to change the direction of cable routing. It allows for a smooth transition from a tray with a width of 100 mm to a tray with a width of 50 mm, maintaining a height of 50 mm. Made of steel with a thickness of 1.0 mm, it ensures the strength and stability of the structure.

Construction and application

This reducer is particularly useful in situations where the installation needs to be adapted to existing spatial conditions or to connect different segments of the tray with different dimensions. It allows for optimal use of space and ensures an aesthetic appearance of the installation. Mounting is done with SGKM6x12 or SGM6x12 screws, which facilitates and speeds up the installation process.

Material and protection

Made of steel, standardly galvanized by the Sendzimir method (PN-EN 10346:2015-09), it provides corrosion resistance. Versions are also available to order: steel galvanized by hot-dip method (PN-EN ISO 1461:2023-02) for increased protection in harsh environmental conditions, and a stainless steel version for applications requiring the highest chemical and mechanical resistance. Painting in a standard RAL palette is also possible, allowing the color to be matched to the surroundings.

Good to know: For non-standard orders, dimensions a and b must be specified – if a is 400 mm and b is 200 mm, the ordered reducer should have the symbol RK...400/200H50. Using the appropriate reducer avoids unnecessary cutting and fitting of elements, which translates into saving time and installation costs.
