The PFIM-100/4/01-A RCD is characterized by type A sensitivity, which means it reacts to both AC and pulsating leakage currents. This is crucial for protecting electronic devices that generate such interference. The four-pole design allows for simultaneous disconnection of the phase and neutral, providing comprehensive protection. Mounting is done on a DIN rail, which facilitates installation and integration with existing electrical infrastructure. It finds application in electrical switchboards, ensuring the safety of installation use.

Construction and user features

The design of the RCD has been designed with ease of installation and subsequent operation in mind. Screw and rail terminals (from above and below) allow for flexible connection of wires with a cross-section from 1.5 mm² to 35 mm² (solid) or 1.5 mm² to 16 mm² (stranded). A mechanical lock prevents accidental switching on of the RCD after it has been switched off by the operation of the residual current protective device. Additionally, the possibility of adding auxiliary contacts, undervoltage releases and a reclosing device expands the functionality of the device and allows it to be adapted to the specific needs of the installation. The power supply direction is arbitrary, and the optical contact position indicator facilitates control of the device status. The RCD has a protection degree of IP20, which provides protection against finger contact.
