Curbless drainage in a self-adjustable version
The Geberit CleanLine30 linear drain is a solution designed for modern bathrooms without architectural barriers - where a bathtub or shower tray gives way to an open shower space. The product drains water from walk-in showers, installed in the middle of the room or directly against a wall. The variant with lengths from 30 to 130 cm allows for selecting the size to a specific shower enclosure, and the possibility of shortening the channel on-site provides design flexibility.
Material and finish
The drain body is made of CrNiMo 1.4404 steel in accordance with the DIN EN 10088 standard - austenitic stainless steel of this grade contains molybdenum, which increases corrosion resistance under conditions of constant contact with water and cleaning agents. The brushed surface provides an aesthetic look suitable for minimalist arrangements and does not require special maintenance beyond standard wiping.
Installation and adjustment during the construction stage
One of the key features is the ability to adjust the height, slope, and offset of the drain relative to the installation axis. The installer can therefore correct the position of the channel even after the screed has been laid - useful when insulation or tile layers differ in thickness from the design assumptions.
The product is intended for ceramic tiles with a thickness of 8-35 mm mounted on the floor. The channel itself is cuttable - it can be cut to size without loss of tightness or structural stability.
The scope of delivery includes a comb strainer (element for trapping contaminants), an inlet with a compensation ring, and a sealing sleeve. Geberit pipe sets dedicated to the CleanLine series are available to order separately - they differ in the outlet height at the channel (65-90 mm or 90-220 mm) and in the variant with through-floor flow.
Operating parameters and daily use
The drain is classified as K3 with a load of up to 3 kN - sufficient for standard domestic use and lightweight floor constructions. Quality control according to the EN 1253-3 standard confirms the tightness and efficiency of the drainage.
Access to the comb strainer does not require tools - simply lift the channel or pull out the insert to remove accumulated hair or cosmetic residues. This is a significant convenience during regular cleaning.
It is worth remembering that natural stone tiles may discolor under the influence of water and cleaning agents in the shower area - the manufacturer recommends taking this into account when choosing the floor covering. The drain is not intended for industrial floors (neither resin nor cement).
