Geberit HDPE Drainage System – Durability and Versatility

PEHD pipe with a diameter of 40 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm, made of polyethylene (PE), is an element of the Geberit HDPE drainage system. It is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage, chemical substances, and UV radiation, making it an ideal solution for both indoor and outdoor applications. Thanks to the SN4 circumferential stiffness class, the pipe provides adequate strength while maintaining flexibility.

Application and characteristic features

The Geberit HDPE system is versatile and finds application in many areas: drainage of water from buildings, roof drainage (both gravity and vacuum), industrial installations, commercial or laboratory facilities. The possibility of laying in the ground, concrete or during bridge construction further expands its scope of use. These pipes are resistant to approximately 95% of standard alkalis, acids and chemicals, guaranteeing long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Geberit PE pipes also stand out for the possibility of joining by butt or electrofusion welding using specialized machines and tools. Welding ensures durable and tight connections, especially important when laying pipelines in concrete. The low weight of the pipes facilitates transport and assembly, and the possibility of prefabricating elements in the workshop allows saving time on the construction site.

Key advantages for professionals and users

  • Chemical resistance: Resistance to most standard alkalis, acids and chemicals ensures long-lasting operation even in an aggressive environment.
  • UV resistance: Special additives protect the polyethylene from degradation caused by sunlight, allowing the pipes to be stored outdoors for longer periods.
  • Possibility of laying in concrete: Geberit PE pipes can be concreted without fear, giving great freedom in the design of installations.
  • Durable connections: Butt or electrofusion welding guarantees the tightness and reliability of connections for many years.
  • Lightweight and easy installation: The low weight of the pipes facilitates transport, handling and assembly, especially during prefabrication of elements outside the construction site.
  • Wide range of applications: From draining wastewater from buildings to industrial installations – the Geberit HDPE system performs well in various conditions.
  • Flexibility: The pipe withstands short-term pressure as well as drops or impacts without cracking or permanent deformation.

The pipe is characterized by an outer diameter of 40 mm and a water capacity of 0.9 l/m. It is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to 80°C.
