Steel coalescing separator AQUAFIX SKG2BP 200 with sedimentation chamber and 10-fold bypass, nominal flow 200 l/s, max 2000 l/s, sedimentation capacity 20640 l, steel nozzles 184200
High-performance solution for industrial wastewater treatment
This steel coalescing separator with a sedimentation tank is a device designed for dewatering installations where flows can reach up to 2000 l/s in emergency situations, with a nominal working flow of 200 l/s. Its construction allows for effective separation of petroleum-based substances (mineral oils) from rainwater or process water before discharge into the receiving body. Thanks to the use of a 10-fold bypass, the device handles sudden, intense surges by directing excess water further downstream, protecting the separation process from overload and ensuring the continuity of the sewer system.
Steel construction and load resistance
The main building material is steel, which gives the unit high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance in harsh external conditions. The entire assembly is mounted outdoors, requiring the device to withstand atmospheric conditions and loads resulting from vehicular traffic. The separator cover is adapted to carry a load of up to 400 kN, meaning it can be safely installed under truck roads or in zones for vehicles with high gross vehicle weight. The device height is 3050 mm, and its weight (according to manufacturer data) exceeds 10 tons (approx. 10,800 kg), requiring appropriate lifting equipment during installation and compaction of the surrounding soil.
Sedimentation tank capacity and scope of application
Inside the device, there is a sedimentation tank with a working capacity of 20,640 liters (according to the model name) or 19,120 liters (according to database data – the exact capacity should be verified in the project). Such volume ensures sufficient retention time for effective separation of liquids with different densities. However, it should be noted that this model is dedicated exclusively to mineral oils. It is not suitable for treating wastewater containing organic fats (e.g., from industrial kitchens), which require other technological solutions. The connection nozzles are also made of steel, ensuring material consistency of the entire system and facilitating connection to main pipelines.
Thanks to the large sedimentation tank capacity and specific internal construction, the device minimizes the risk of petroleum-based contaminants entering the sewer network or the natural environment. This is a key solution for large surface parking lots, gas stations, or production halls where the risk of oil spills is real and legal requirements regarding wastewater quality are rigorous. Installation requires precision due to the weight of the structure and the need to maintain the correct level of foundation for the proper functioning of gravity-based separation principles.
