Construction and properties
The H05VV-F cable is characterized by a construction based on multi-wire, flexible copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295). The conductors are insulated with PVC TI2, and their identification is done using colors (according to DIN VDE 0293-308) – up to 5 conductors the colors are unique, and above 6 conductors numbering with white digits on a black background is used. The cable has a green-yellow protective conductor (from 3 conductors). The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 provides additional mechanical protection and resistance to atmospheric conditions. The whole is twisted in parallel with an optimal twist pitch, which increases flexibility and facilitates assembly.
Scope of application and operating parameters
This cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible). It can be used in installations with a rated voltage of up to 500V (U0/U 300/500V), and the highest permissible operating voltage in AC installations is 318/550 V, and in DC 413/825 V. The minimum bending radius is approximately 7.5 x cable diameter. It is resistant to radiation up to 80x106 cJ/kg (80 Mrad).
The cable is used in rooms with moderate mechanical stress, in household appliances (e.g. dishwashers, lighting), office equipment and inside furniture and walls. It can be used in kitchens provided there is no direct contact with heating elements. Please note that it is not intended for outdoor installations or in industrial machines.
