PVC control and power cable – reliability and versatility in every application

This grey H05VV-F control and power cable with a cross-section of 3G0.75 mm² is a versatile solution for both professional installers and end-users. It provides safe and efficient power transmission in a wide range of applications. The PVC construction guarantees flexibility and durability, and compliance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11/DIN EN 50525-2-11 and IEC 60227-5 standards confirms its high quality.

Construction and properties – the key to long-term operation

The cable is characterized by a solid construction. It is made of stranded, flexible copper wire (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), which facilitates installation and ensures resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The core insulation is made of PVC TI2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3), and the outer sheath of PVC TM2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1 / DIN EN 50363-4-1) protects against mechanical damage and external factors. The cores are twisted in parallel, which optimizes the twist pitch and ensures uniform load distribution. Core identification is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 – up to five cores colored, above five – black with white numbering. The cable is also available with a green-yellow protective core (from three cores).

Applications and operating parameters – where will this cable work?

The H05VV-F cable is perfect for internal installations where moderate mechanical stress occurs. It can be used in household appliances, even in damp rooms (e.g. dishwashers, lighting), office equipment, radios or centrifuges. It is also suitable for installation inside furniture, walls and empty spaces in buildings. However, it should not be used outdoors or in industrial equipment and agricultural machinery (except sewing machines).

The rated voltage is U0/U 300/500 V, and the permissible ambient temperature during installation is -5°C to +70°C, and after installation (without vibration) -40°C to +70°C. The minimum bending radius is approximately 7.5 x cable diameter, and the approximate outer diameter is 6.8 mm. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, the test voltage is 2000 V, and the breakdown voltage is at least 4000 V.

In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substances. The cable also has CE approval, which confirms its compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and has passed self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
