This black, shielded JZ-500-C flexible cable is a solid solution for medium mechanically stressed installations where flexibility and protection against interference are required. The cable is designed to operate in various conditions – from dry rooms, through humid and wet environments, to outdoor installations. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation.

Construction and properties

The JZ-500-C cable stands out with its careful construction. It uses multi-wire copper conductors (class 5), which provides high flexibility and resistance to bending. The core insulation is made of PVC, and the entire cable is surrounded by a copper braid screen, minimizing the impact of electromagnetic interference. The cores are black with white numerical printing for easy identification, and from 3 cores there is also a yellow-green protective core. The outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 guarantees resistance to abrasion and weathering. Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, chemicals and UV radiation – making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial applications.

• Shielding: Copper braid effectively reduces electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission. It is important to ensure good contact of the braid with the terminals (e.g. cable glands) for optimal protection.
• Flexibility: Multi-wire core construction (class 5) allows easy routing and connection of the cable even in tight spaces.
• Resistance: Materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The cable is also resistant to UV radiation, oils and chemicals.
• Safety: The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 standards.
• Temperature range: The cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (with fixed installation) and from -15°C to +80°C during assembly.

Technical parameters and application

The JZ-500-C cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² is designed for a rated voltage of 500V. Its outer diameter is approximately 7 mm. It will be useful in applications requiring a flexible electrical connection, such as:

• Conveyor belts
• Installations in residential and commercial buildings
• Outdoor applications (excluding direct burial in the ground or immersion in water).

Remember that the minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 5 x diameter with fixed installation. Insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and coupling resistance maximum 250 Ohm/km. Core/core test voltage is 4000V and core/screen is 2000V.
