Flexible control cable with shielding – reliability and protection in every application

This black, shielded flexible cable JZ-500-C is an ideal solution for mechanically medium-duty installations where flexibility and protection against interference are required. The cable is designed for use in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors, excluding direct laying in the ground or water. Thanks to the copper braid screen, it ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), which is crucial in modern industrial installations.

Construction and properties ensuring durability

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on multi-wire copper conductors (class 5) insulated with special PVC. The conductors are black with white numbers for easy identification, and from 3 conductors and above, there is a yellow-green protective conductor. The screen made of bleached copper wires (coverage approx. 85%) effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference. The outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 provides resistance to abrasion, oils and chemicals. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing and assembly. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that disrupt painting and are resistant to UV radiation.

Technical specifications and scope of applications

The JZ-500-C cable has a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500 V. The permissible ambient temperature during installation is from -15°C to 80°C, and after installation (without vibration) from -40°C to 80°C. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.2 mm. It is an excellent choice for applications in mechanical engineering – control, signaling and measurement on production lines and conveyor belts. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The cable is also tested for self-extinguishing and flame retardancy in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1 standards.
